When you use Pariksha, we collect the following information:

• Account information — name, email address, and profile data provided during sign-up via Clerk authentication.
• Session data — interview and learning sessions you complete, including questions asked, transcribed answers, scores, and debrief reports.
• Voice / audio — microphone input during mock interviews is transcribed in real time. Audio is processed by Groq's Whisper API and is not stored after transcription.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and analytics events (session counts, streak data, average scores).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalise your interview prep experience.
• To save session history and performance analytics to your account.
• To generate AI-powered feedback and learning plans.
• To maintain streaks, scores, and progress tracking.
• To improve the platform based on aggregate, anonymised usage patterns.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on infrastructure in the United States. We use row-level security to ensure you can only access your own data. Authentication is managed by Clerk, which is SOC 2 Type II compliant.

4. Third-Party Services

Pariksha uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Clerk — authentication and user management
• Supabase — database and storage
• Groq — LLM inference (interview AI, tutor AI) and speech-to-text (Whisper)
• Vercel — hosting and deployment

Each service operates under its own privacy policy and security practices.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your session data and account information are retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.

6. Cookies

Pariksha uses cookies and local storage for authentication session management (via Clerk) and application state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

7. Children's Privacy

Pariksha is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

By creating an account or using Pariksha, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform.

2. Use of the Service

You agree to use Pariksha only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the platform or its APIs.
• Share your account credentials with others.
• Upload or transmit harmful, illegal, or offensive content during sessions.
• Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the platform.

3. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code of Pariksha is owned by Jijnasu and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the content you provide (your answers, inputs) but grant Jijnasu a limited licence to process that content to deliver the service.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Interview questions, learning plans, feedback, and scores are generated by AI models and are provided for practice purposes only. They do not constitute professional career advice. Pariksha makes no guarantee that use of the platform will result in a job offer or successful interview outcome.

5. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice where possible.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jijnasu and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Pariksha.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms periodically. We will notify users of material changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
